Taylor Swift is an extremely smart and savvy business woman. I'm not at all surprised that she probably had this post already mostly composed and in the hopper for tweaking and release at the right moment. She nailed it with timing, and her phrasing was genius and respectful of others' decisions. She has a mega amount of influence on the World, so her encouraging others to educate themselves was just the right thing to say IMO.

Overall, this election has energized young voters. Before Biden stepped aside, we had "two old guys" running for president, and younger voters were much less likely to be engaged. I've said it before, need I say it again? (Sure, why not?) It is the women of this country who will decide this election, as it is women who need the protection of reproductive rights. And if Taylor Swift wants to officially get on board with Harris, encouraging her fans to register and to vote early, with a link on how to do that??? She's opened the door to a whole new sector. My 42-yr-old daughter texted me late last night with the news, "Taylor endorses Harris!" She's been waiting, she is psyched about this, and she's not the only one.
A question that I don't have the time to research, how many young women are newly eligible to vote this year and where do they live? My step-daughter is a Libertarian but lives and dies with TS. This is her first year of voting and the TS endorsement will matter. She has registering to vote on her calendar. I wonder how many other young women feel this way as you mentioned.
It's a really hard morning for me as we lost our family pet, Dodge. Dodge was always with us through the good times and bad times and was a true member of the family. I always vowed to do anything to protect him, but when a flood of immigrants crossing the Biden-Harris southern border poured into our town, I was powerless. I watched helplessly as they stole Dodge and then ate him, along with the neighbor's cat, Fluffy.
I would guess the area it will affect is voter turnout. As noted in several comments, getting young voters registered and engaged in the electoral process is a plus for the Harris/Walz Campaign. And, if it inspires already registered voters, who might have been willing to skip voting, to get out and cast their ballots, it's another plus. How many actual votes this could translate into? Who knows...
