This endorsement is about six months too late. I don't know why Reynolds and Sununu are wasting political capital on these doomed to fail endorsements.

I agree with you about political endorsements, Chris. They are pointless with very few exceptions.

Meh is the word you used and it is exactly the right one. He may as well have endorsed Cornel West for all the effect it will have.

Chriss, I always enjoy your videos. I agree with your analysis. Having said that, I have been of the opinion since the beginning that Nikki Haley and DJT have a side deal going and that she already knows she is not going to be the nominee. She either becomes the VP to be or gets another shot in DJT's cabinet should he win. This might sound sinical but remember that at the outset Nikki Haley called Trump to supposedly get his blessings to run. The very modest criticism between the two is more for show than not. Keep in mind that the more candidates there are the better it has been and is for DJT. My two cents.

I agree this doesn’t do much for Haley, but it is important that there is a tidal wave of Republicans who speak out against Trump.

Reasonable Republicans need to know that Trump is unacceptable and maybe sit out the election if they can’t vote for a Democrat. The silence from Republican leaders makes Trump appear okay, even if not their kinda guy.

Trump will call them RINOs and these kind of RINOs is what America needs.

Enjoy your videos, this was no exception. I agree that endorsements are not too important, nice to have though. I think if someone is really surging and starts getting big names behind them, an endorsement may propel them further as people may take notice. On the other hand, Haley is so far behind Trump, she may be surging but not nearly enough to make a difference, an endorsement will not change the trajectory of her campaign. It’s hard for me to understand that this country is backing Trump to this extent and no other candidate comes close. There is no race.

You're looking really great and so refreshed and energetic! I look forward to your video installments and enjoyed this first one.

One suggestion: Maybe get an audio engineer to check into your choice of microphone and audio settings? It sounds like it's being clipped, which is a bit distracting.

Given both the echo and clipping on the audio path, Chris is probably recording through a built-in laptop microphone with the gain pushed up too high. Normally, I notice no issue with his video sound, so I suspect of bit of tweaking of the sound settings should fix it.

I agree with your points, especially about the limited effect of most endorsements. BUT I think you missed an important point specific to Sununu. He made a huge mistake when he said last week that he'd vote for Trump because , after all, he's a Republican. It's that sort of half measure that enables Trump. The only way the anti- Trump wing could prevail was to unite and all say: "this cannot stand. If this know-nothing , malignant narcissist is nominated, we will put country over party and vote for Biden." In other words, Sununu and others needed to take the same stand as Romney and Cheney. If a material number of them joined forces, perhaps assisted by the former Trump appointees who have testified to his incompetence (e.g. Barr, Tillerson, Kelly) , it is possible they'd change the dynamic. They owed it to the Country to try. But this weak-kneed "I'd prefer Haley but I'd vote for Trump" approach is worthless

From New Hampshire...so true!!

Definitley like the video format, if you can please do more of these. With regards to endorsements I definitely agree with you that they have less value with time, and especially with the Sununu endorsement, I don't think it will have much effect on the outcome in New Hampshire let alone shift the balance of the Republican primary, however aren't there some more outstanding cases of where it did matter? for example I hear from my dad that when Ted and Caroline Kennedy endorsed Barack Obama in 2008, it had a big shift in the competitiveness of the race between him and Hillary Clinton at the time. Also more recently in 2020, you had Pete Buttigeg and Amy Klobuchar dropping out of their campaigns and endorsing Joe Biden which led to the massive turnaround for Biden on Super Tuesday, although I guess in that case it was expected that more Buttigeg supporters and Klobuchar supporters were inevitably going to support Biden over Bernie Sanders.

Chris, if only you could see my home office background. At least you have a scholarly looking bookshelf behind you. My background is decidedly disorganized. Yes, I am glad you do your videos. I look forward to them.

I like your videos, but with hearing impairment, I’d love to have captions. Can that be arranged?

How easy or difficult is it for people in NH to vote in a different party's primary? With the Democratic NH primary not "counting" this year - and Biden therefore not participating in it - can we expect some Ds to change registration and vote in the R primary to oppose Trump? I'm sure it would be a very small percentage and unlikely to significantly impact the race, but just interesting to think about.
